Changed drive name C: to D: then found no option in BIOS for selecting D: startup vol
#1
In preparing to move my startup disk to an internal SSD I changed the drive name of my startup volume from C: to D: and the system immediately went to reboot. Now my AK1 will not recognize the former C: drive (now D: drive) as the startup volume.

When attempting to change the startup volume order in the BIOS I saw no option to select specific drives. The only 2 boot options were available (1) Windows Boot Manager (2) Built-in UEFI: Built-in EFI Shell.

Windows Boot Manager is not accessible because the system can no longer recognize the boot drive (now the D: drive).

I am able to boot into the EFI Shell, but cannot locate any commands that will allow me to force the system to boot from an alternative drive.

Can someone suggest a way to change the boot options through the EFI Shell command line interface. Or perhaps point me to a command line reference for the ACEPC specific EFI Shell.

EFI doesn't work in this way.

You have to repair your MBR. See the instructions here.

If you want to clone your drive to the new SSD, you cannot simply copy the files from one drive to another.

I was changing the name of the bot drive before cloning. I wasn't planning to just copy files to the mSATA drive. I was asking how to change the boot order to include the D: drive, since the C: drive name no longer exists. In the past I was able to do this on other computers through the BIOS, but didn't understand when I started working on the ACEPC that capability didn't exist. If there is no straightforward way to change the boot order. I will give up on that notion and try something else.

I understand that you are suggesting that I need to repair the MBR.
However, I don't see any link or instructions to repair the MBR and can't find the instructions when I search the site. Can you please direct me to the information on how to repair the MBR? Thank You.

You should probably change the change letters like J and K, for example. After that, go back to C and D in the desired order, right?
